alright there is a story behind this one... it will be explained in a reply later on... hope you all enjoy... ciao

I saw her from across the pool
I sitting cool buy the cooler
She glanced over at me

Slowly she walked over to me
She reached towards me
The sweat trickled down my body

She took a hold of me
She pulled me close
I peered deep into her eyes

So pure
So blue
So innocent

Her lips
So round so full
So luscious

She reached up and pulled off my hat
A sensation ran through me
I felt bubbly

She held me closer
Put her lips around mine
I could not control myself

Between her legs I went just sitting there
Helpless in my surroundings
She pulled me back up to her

Her lips around mine
I just couldn’t control it any longer
I was empty

She looked at me once again
And there she left me
Crushed

This is my life
I live only once
I am…

A Pop Can

Short and sweet and... weird, I must say!

I truly was LOL and I would love to hear the story behind this-- Unique idea and great poem.

It was so realistic-- could be so easily compared to with human life and experiences.

Very good poem-- I loved it sooo much... hey, it made me laugh-- that's gotta count for something...

The first time I read this I was thinking along the same lines as Imbued. The second time I read this(knowing the subject matter) I STILL thought along those same lines. This is very very clever!
You have taken something as simple as a soda (or pop, as we say in Michigan) can and made it something new to think of. Makes me want to take the 'Pepsi challenge' now!

Wonderfully talented poetry! PJ

OOOoohhh!! See down south the only thing we call soft drinks are coke! No matter what brand or flavor it's all coke, funny actually. Just like your little poem! Good job, had me smiling!

First popcorn, now soda? You're making me hungry. Wink You've got a knack for personification. I still remember being horrified at first by your popcorn poem - I thought that poor thing was a person, being all tortured like that. Smile Well...yum.

Extremly nice job in pulling the reader in, with the descriptive words and the 'original thought' only to be fooled that it is not what it seems! Very clever, a nice original idea! Truly original, and humourous! Keep up the good work, and good luck! :-D ;-) Smile :P

Oh My... after I read this I started laughing so hard. Then I got my cousin to come to the computer so she could read it. This is one of my favorite things I have read ever on this board. It was absolutely brilliant...just brilliant. Going to find the popcorn one right now.
