Why must you whine
time after time
it's such a silly crime
they past yer post number nine!

Oh go bite a banana
or scream up a tree
whine to your momma
just don't bother me.

Tragic tales of woe
you ripped em offa POE
I'll flip you off
ha ha you'll never know!

I haven't a dime
nor really the time
I once slapped a mime
for breaking my rhyme!

You want affection
how bout an injection
right near yer midsection
let's start the "poor me" collection!

You bet I'm pissed off
blame it on detox
or even the redsox
just get off yer fricking soapbox!

Nobody responds to me
oh piss on a flea
better yet bite me
you ain't the last fish in the sea.

Go soak yer sissy head
or paint yerself red
whatever is said
will go over yer head.

I'll get slapped for sure
oh don't be a bore
you all know the score
it's a critics reward!

Those close nit groups
musta sprouted from roots
see for yourself the proof
of a Quoteland "core group"

Yeah sarcasm to the extreme
quick take away her caffeine
and sweet Gem is obscene
y'all know what know I mean!

Some poetry they wrote
no one left them a note
ahhhh soak in the moat
a response wrote to make em choke!

big grin big grin big grin big grin big grin and a lick razz !! GEM

wink wink wink wink wink wink wink
razz razz razz razz razz razz razz

Gem, you made 'em choke
While trying to provoke
And givin' 'em a poke
But who had a stroke?

[Could it be your cat Coke???] (sorry had to throw that in!)

With my little reply
I don't mean to imply
That on a few we rely
And the rest we deny.

But that doesn't mean they aren't great
And Harv don't mean to berate
And she certainly isn't irate,
Oh no, she's quite sedate.

But thank G-d for RhymeZone
Used in all timeZones
'Cause Rhymes make Harv groan,
And to which she isn't prone,
But, as I said before, thank G-d for Rhyme Zone.

Gem, this was.... lol. If I rolled on the floor I would be. big grin Thanks for sharing mi tia. lol. (sorry bout my reply lol the mood struck!)

Harv cool

I shiver comfortless, but cast
No chill across the tablecloth;
I, all-forgotten, shivered sad
To stay and yet to part how loathe;
I passed from the familiar room,
I who from love had passed away,
Like the remembrance of a guest
That tarrieth but a day.

That's a great poem, Gem.
That's telling them
the whys and wherefores
plus a thing or two more.

One can't read all the posts -
here and there at the most -
But for those who beg please...
well, my eyes never see.

I peruse the new stuff -
the good and the rough;
and I'll reply to a few
like most readers do.

There are those I call friend
I read again and again.
Their substance and style
makes me think, makes me smile.

Not wanting to incur your formidible wrath at this point in time of your caffeine deprivation, I'll just salute and say," Yes ma'am, right you are ma'am!"

(Now if I can just get out of this kitchen before the gorgeous nude blonde throws a sugar bowl at me...)

UH-OH - Gem, are they going to find you curled in a ball soon, crystals surrounding you and marker all over your computer screen?

This one sounds a lot like a short story I remember reading some months ago. (I'll leave it to the resident researcher (that's you, HA) to find that one.)

Just sitting and smiling here pal. Nothing like a caffeine detox to strip away all the niceties, and let you say exactly what's on your mind. But maybe the 38 should be put in safe hands somewhere, until the tremors pass?

All the disorders floatin' around
I'm wonderin' when one will drop me to the ground
(I'm tryin' my best here, all my words are gone
But I will still humor myself and ramble on)

This is the second, and my last verse
I think the writing G-ds have placed on me, a curse
But I had to find the link the the post from before
So here it is, I can't rhyme anymore.

All of my hate cannot be found,
I will not be drowned by your thoughtless scheming!
So, you can try to tear me down!
Beat me to the ground!
I will see you screaming

Dear Gem,

I could not post to the site I desired because of powers that be. I will say, in loving and caring, drink some d*mn coffee and improve your poetry! wink Of course that is just my opinion, many think I am wrong. Sorry I could only post to this site and you have to suffer the consequences. razz

I do like your poetry, I just liked it better when your angst was at a more normal level. big grin

Amusing, Gem!

No coffee? I've had to give it up a time or two myself, so you have my sympathy.

Dear Gem-Loved your poem-I had a good laugh with it, you might have a talent for the complaint department somewhere. I do get tired of people there who always respond with a cheery
" How can I help you today?"
Of course you might also want to switch to decaff
as for me
its strong coffee all the way baby :-)

Crazy!
I like it… whimsical and sheer fun!
It took me time to get to figuring the meaning out, I was blown by the fun of it!
My fave lines:

Oh go bite a banana
or scream up a tree
whine to your momma
just don't bother me.

oh piss on a flea

I remember launching-a-complaint (opening a thread) in the original writers’ club regarding this (less replies to newbies) sometime during the beginning of my QLing… it was about the ninth day, methinks Eek Big Grin! I don’t really like over-selectivity at the cost of others, however I see both sides of the coin now. What a fun way to present your point of view, Gem, and the others “poems” in the replies were great as well!

Thanks for the fun read, and wish you good fun on the new year eve and always~
Smile
