This was a rather unique inspiration...i hope you enjoy reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it. Smile

Scattered secrets of my dreaming
Carry me through
The silence of demise;
Separation from the wise
Destroys my sodden hope,
As I seek mercy
Where there lies nothing but entanglement,
Encircling the aura,
As it glows…
Fainter,
Waning;
No more than a simple hue,
Blushing;
Sapphire butterflies,
Fighting to mix in with the daytime,
Only falling to the night,
Plea for me.
Bits of a broken soul I find,
Piece by piece,
I lace them together,
And watch;
I see how they bloom a crystal glory,
Tiny flow’r,
Gentle song.
Something reminiscent of a satin breeze
Floats,
Light like the fairy,
Holding faint desire.
It sprinkles dewdrops ‘cross the heavens;
And I hide,
Enshrouding myself in cloaks of gold,
Mingling soft
With the blue velvet longing
I feel…
Entrapping the very ends of my brain,
As it teases,
Slow,
Mild;
Ne’er letting on to what it craves.
Slipping quicker,
Water rolling off my fragrant mind.
Something that hums,
So daintily;
No one will find.
And I,
Peaceful sleeper,
Idealist prancing amid the fields
That grace my dreams,
Conquer fear…
Spreading illusion far and wide,
Fluidity in my own mournful eyes.
Cerulean;
Sterling passion…
Greet your keeper of eternity,
Tipped in the fairness
Of delicacy balanced upon
These ever slowly fading lies.

~Much love~

Dancing
Motion, sleek and
smooth
Christens dewdrops on
my head
Kissing the
heavens
Making them wish
to sigh--"Silk"

Hey hon, I am sorry I haven't replied to your poems recently. I just never know what to say beyind, "wonderful job, it was beautiful," etc! Every good thing I could say is true, so imagine them all and then imagine a big high-five from me. The imagery in this poem was particularly vivid and the last few lines

Greet your keeper of eternity,
Tipped in the fairness
Of delicacy balanced upon
These ever slowly fading lies.

tied it up superbly. I like the "keeper of eternity" concept you hinted at.

Keep writing, I will always read. Smile

Well you know it goes without saying that I have always loved your poetry.
Your "color" poems are my favorite as I have never known anyone who can make even the most drab colors come alive like you do.

This summer when I sit out on my deck and enjoy the beauty of nature I will appreciate the "saphire butterflies" as they dance among the flowers, and I will also think of this poem.

Beautiful work as always my wonderful mom, and Happy birthday to you too.....may your special day be filled with love and laughter. Oh and lots of loot too Big Grin

((hugs)) from your daughter!

I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than to teach ten thousand stars how not to dance - e e cummings
