I am having difficulty locating one of my favorite GD threads. I think it was created by Emeraldeyes and it was something like "Songs for comfort and encouragement". I recall one of my last posts in that thread I had done extensive research on "Abide with Me". Another hymn that I did extensive research on was "When Peace Like a River".

I have used the Advanced Search feature of QL to no avail. Any help would be appreciated locating it!

Aire, was it the one that was something to do with songs or lyrics for a broken world in the title? I can't get the search thing to work properly though. I'll keep trying!

I tried searching on your problem Aire, but not knowing if your title was correct, I might have missed the thread. A good way to go about it, if you know it was EE's thread, is to type her name into the authors box, and tell the search to only search the GD forum. You can then just search through EE's posts in that forum (btw its like 54-60 pages but pages 52-55 were blank for whatever reason (the one or two after weren't).

Alternatively, you could do the same with your name (it was only like 14 or 15 pages).

No ... I'm wondering whether the song threads were deleted in the changeover because I can't find the other lyrics thread either. They were by nature, voluminous posts I guess, probably hogging the bandwidth.

Start a new one, Aire! I could do with some words of comfort and soothing at the moment!

I remember that thread and have searched back over a year's worth of pages on GD. Can't see it.

Funny how I didn't miss it until you brought it up Airedale. I miss it now!

I also have searched, based on all the information provided on this thread, and cannot locate it. I have a vague recollection of it.
This is not the type of posting that I would have deleted as part of the cleanup to get within our post limit. I was very selective in that process so as not to delete any thread that had many replies.
When I began the process, there were 55812 posts on General Discussion.
There are now 53509, so it is clear that a little over 2000 posts were deleted. If memory serves, I went after posts that were old and had received no replies.
However, since all of our efforts to find this thread have failed, I can only assume that it must be gone. I deeply regret this, and I offer my sincere apology.
