I have been a member sice 2002 and have a limited amount of post. Around 500.

I dont want to turn this into a debate, but do some people just post so their post count goes through the roof?

Or maybe they just like to post in every topic they get their sticky mits into.....

I didn't realize that we were having a posting competition here on QL.

I suppose if you're real good at coming up with clever phrases, you can reply to every post, but I'm not so I don't.

Just as a side question, would replying to this post count as a "fluff post", to inflate my post count?

I'm not even sure what my post count is. Being a spammer isn't really something to gloat about.

Nothing wrong with a little fluff though, that's what GD is all about. (And it has its appeal because of it).

I seem to remember a very similar discussion about this a few years ago - there were some people who were blatantly posting 'fluff' stuff in order to inflate thier numbers....not me of course - 1799 since 2000...methinkssheshouldbepostingmore? My goal is 2000 before I die...

I have been a member since I was like 15 or 16...I will be 20 the middle of November...so 4 or 5 years now...and I have a fairly high post count...nothin like Sentra though! I don't think it should matter. Every post I write might not be clever or witty (especially since like I said I joined when I was 15 or 16...who is clever or witty all the time at that age? ...or at any age actually ), but I don't post just to 'fluff' my post count. If that were the case I probably wouldn't have disappeared for as long as I did . I come to share my opinions with people, meet people that I have things in common with, and in the end learn from it all. I would hope there is a reason other than fluffing for every post that someone writes here at quoteland whether it be just to say hi to an old friend or to comment on a debate.

P.S. I wrote in the box just for old times sake.

**I edited this post to add a little side note** I just looked at the date I joined...coincidently it was exactly 4 years this last Monday October 23rd. I joined in 2002. That means I joined when I was 15..right before I turned 16.
