Hello,

My name is Stephen, teacher by trade. Currently I am at home a few weeks recovering from cancer surgery. All is well, it is really nothing more than an inconvenience at this point. I'm from Texas, USA.

Hey, I guess I'm still fairly new. What exactly is the time amount? Well, I think I've been here about 2 or 3 weeks but you can take one off for my vacation. So, I guess I'm new. We're supposed to tell about ourselves? I'm an 18 year old who is presently living in the Twin Cities after a spat with parental units 2 days ago. I will not be moving back even though I'm in high school. Oh well, at least I'll be with some old friends that I grew up with. Yup, freedom is mine.

to satsuki,
i am indian. so my values are pretty solid and first and foremost is the value about respecting my parents.i think you should just talk out things with your parents. remember, there are only 3 people on earth who'll love you as you are without any compromises or conditions and they are your mother, your father and God. i know i have no right to advise you. i am sorry if i've offended you because another of my values is not to offend elders.
to maestro,
i think you are very brave to remain all this cheerful. get well soon.and here is one of my favourite quotes for you - "walk on with hope in your heart and you will never walk alone."

i don't know whether to take the "too indian to be true" remark as a compliment or an insult. so, i'll take it as a compliment.
$anya,
thanks for the welcome.
lily of the valley,
how on earth did you come up with such a beautiful name?

Since we're turning this into a chat session, what the heck I'll justify what I meant.
That was a compliment dude, I just meant that I don't see many young indian dudes / ladies reflecting them same values now-a-days. Just don't change on what you believe in, nothing else. And just so that you know it most definitely wasn't an insult.

later, aligator Wink

catch ya after a while, crocodile. Wink
to carisa,
hope u have a gr8 time here.
to everyone,
i love it here. i never really get an opportunity to speak out what i feel due to which i have gained the reputation of being an introvert. but in here, i can be really me and that is doing a lot of things to preserve my sanity in a world that is turning upside down.
you can't have happiness just because your name is felicity, you know.

Hi felicity levis,

Well to start a discussion, first go to the forum you want to participate in.. then click on "New" in the orange bar at the top of the page and then 'Topic' or 'Poll' or whatever you want. I'd advise you to read the forum rules before starting new threads.. it's always better to familiarize yourself with them first. Smile

To reply, you'll find a "Reply" button at the bottom of every thread (and in the orange bar at the top too). The yellow arrow is Fast Reply where if you click, you'll find a box that allows you to type. If you'd like to add links or quotes or images, I'd advise you to use the "Reply" button (with the blue arrow) - that basically has options for all the tools you'd like when replying.

Feel free to ask any other questions. There are a lot of helpful members here; you'll come to find that soon enough. Wink lol, you don't have to be 'eternally grateful'. Big Grin Hope you have a great time exploring QL!

Hello everyone. I'm new to Quoteland and I was invited by a good friend of mine to check out the site. From what I have seen, it looks GREAT! I hope to get to know everyone a bit better during my stay here. Smile

Hmm...a bit about me I guess Wink I am in Tupelo, Mississippi. Mother of two little girls. I love chatting with people from all over the world to learn of different cultures and beliefs. That's about it at the moment.
