My glasses are slipping, they have taken on a life of their own and want to escape my face to exact their devious plans. I spend a lot of time pushing them back up my nose... ...like a superhero.

Matt. Buy a small pads to put on those bridges. They keep the glasses secure on your face and prevent them from sliding down your face.

Unless of course you want to set it free. Wink You look thinner btw. Cool

Ananya you're very pretty! You look like a girl I went to college with actually. Hmm...okay did you secretly move to NJ and go to a college there?? Maybe it was you, hahaha... LOL

Fuzzies I'm going to chop off your hair and steal it while you sleep. What I'd give for curls like that. And, of course, you're a cutie. I love the glasses, you look scholarly....er, superhero-ey.

And last but not least, thank you for the extremely fun reply KO! ALWAYS a blast to hear from you. Razz

My youngest daughter has curly hair like yours -a blessing and a curse isnt it? I work for an Optometrist, if you were closer I'd adjust those glasses for you...

Katelyn, you say the sweetest things. Smile and yes I have posted on QL before - but a link to the quoteland site on msn. But that photo is really old.

Knockout, I don't like keeping grievances, so even though you say many annoying things now and then, you also say some very good and humorous things, so it evens it out. I don't have anything against you... but I do believe in making my opinions clear, I prefer that, than keeping things in my heart and be a sweet talker for the world's sake.

So, can we be friends again?... until our next spat, of course. Big Grin

Thank you for all your sweet compliements, but I think I am no match for Rachel Weisz... she is way to good to be compared with me. But thank you, all the same.

As for the dot on the forehead - that is a cultural tradition in India amongst Hindus. When females wear traditional dresses, they tend to wear this dot - BINDI or KUMKUM, in the space between the two eyebrows. This is for many reasons. The traditional reason is that a bindi signifies female energy (shakti) and is believed to protect women and their husbands. Married woman wear kumkum and unmarried woman wear bindi. Kumkum is usually a red dot made with vermilion (finely powdered bright red mercuric sulphide), Bindi's are made out of stiff cloth/plastic that are like stickers. Bindis have now become a decorative item and is worn today by unmarried girls and women of other religions as well, here in India.

An esoteric reason though, suggests that during Vedic times (when Aryans invaded India), the area between the eyebrows (where the bindi is placed) is where the Third Eye Chakra, (the seat of "concealed wisdom") is located. This chakra is the exit point of the Kundalini Energy. The Bindi is said to retain the energy within and strengthen concentration, and thus is protection against bad luck (bad luck in terms of loss of vital energy).

Just for u, here's one without the dot:

Beacon-of-hope, awww! hugs... and a million thanks.

August, Wel I never thought, you'd write too... but it is surprise that I will cherish for a long time to come. You overwhelm me with your sentiments, thank you... none before have seen the me that is inside of this body. I don't have words to express my gratitude. Thank you. Smile

Darwin, thank you... you are a generous spirit. Hugs!!!

AmyBeth, Thank you. But I do believe and fantasize at times about all those parellel lives that I must be living. And in one of those, I am in New Jersey...eh? Razz It was beautiful being in your company... thank you, you enriched my life with your presence. Smile

***

And for all those beautiful compliments I am going to reward all of you guys soon... cause you'll just boosted up my self-confidence and made me believe once again that I too am good enough for dating. Watch out your PT space. Me shall be invading it soon. Love ya all.

2007 - Italian - Penfold - Desert - Man's best friend - My Angel and me

Pinot is the dog I rescued. A few members has been asking me to post her picture. I don't usually take many pictures at all but I am trying to change. I think it's a good idea to take some pictures. I miss some memories being older.

I am coming around ... Wink Now I am going to be one of those Asian dudes walking around with a camara and snap at everything I see Roll Eyes

Pinot's story
http://forum.quoteland.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=586192041&f=2911947895&m=993102529&r=811100629#811100629

You can still see inside her ears she was tatooed number 48. That's 2548 (Thai year) or 2005. That is how the local foundation keep track of stray dogs.

Good news, she is getting over her rare skin disease (finger crossed)! Big Grin Yeah. Scream! I usually take her to the vet every 20 days but now we haven't been back for about 5-6 months! She got her hairs back and no more nasty wounds on her skin! Smile

Awwwwwwww, give Pinot a smooch from me. What an endearing face; I like how her eyes gaze directly into the camera so earnestly. I love dawgs..... they have been some of my best companions and teachers re life, living, suffering, courage, and unconditional love. My all-time favorite Airedale had skin allergies all his adult life, so I can really appreciate what a triumph it is for Pinot's skin problems to currently be in remission. Yay!!!

Thanks for sharing your piccies, Max. You and your angel are a handsome/lovely team.

Knockout, your wife is gorgeous! What pretty eyes and smile! I love the angle you took the dog's picture, looking up at the camera with such a sweet, sweet face.

You're not bad-lookin' either.

KO! Or should I say...Brandon Lee??? Eek Rolling Such a cute picture, and your wife is beautiful. Her eyelashes are so long...I'm jealous, she's very pretty! You guys make a sweet couple.

And of course, Pinot is adorable. I'm so glad to hear she's doing better, knock on wood. A dog that precious shouldn't be suffering from anything, so luckily she's on the road to recovery.

Post more, post more! Hahaha... Big Grin

KOYou are a hottie! Your wife is beautiful and your dog looks happy and healthy. Dare I suggest a baby would make a really nice family? Your baby would probably be very cute.

Ananya I am jealous of younger, beautiful women. It makes us crazy old biddies nuts!!! You are beautiful- you are young. It's not fair!!! (Just kidding!)

Fuzzies Your picture brings out the "Mama" in me I didn't know I had. I just want to reach over a continent and an ocean and give you a hug! Those curls!!!

These photo's are from a team building adventure weekend that I went on in the beginning of December. We went to a circus and I was "lucky" ( Confused ) enough to get my face painted. From the circus we moved on to the Jabulani Butterfly garden, hence the butterfly on my head!

Getting all painted up!

Clowning around...

All done and the perfect accessory! Big Grin
