Katelyn, you say the sweetest things.

and yes I have posted on QL before - but a link to the quoteland site on msn. But that photo is really old.
Knockout, I don't like keeping grievances, so even though you say many annoying things now and then, you also say some very good and humorous things, so it evens it out. I don't have anything against you... but I do believe in making my opinions clear, I prefer that, than keeping things in my heart and be a sweet talker for the world's sake.
So, can we be friends again?... until our next spat, of course.
Thank you for all your sweet compliements, but I think I am no match for Rachel Weisz... she is way to good to be compared with me. But thank you, all the same.
As for the dot on the forehead - that is a cultural tradition in India amongst Hindus. When females wear traditional dresses, they tend to wear this dot -
BINDI or KUMKUM, in the space between the two eyebrows. This is for many reasons. The traditional reason is that a bindi signifies female energy (shakti) and is believed to protect women and their husbands. Married woman wear kumkum and unmarried woman wear bindi. Kumkum is usually a red dot made with vermilion (finely powdered bright red mercuric sulphide), Bindi's are made out of stiff cloth/plastic that are like stickers. Bindis have now become a decorative item and is worn today by unmarried girls and women of other religions as well, here in India.
An esoteric reason though, suggests that during Vedic times (when Aryans invaded India), the area between the eyebrows (where the bindi is placed) is where the Third Eye Chakra, (the seat of "concealed wisdom") is located. This chakra is the exit point of the
Kundalini Energy. The Bindi is said to retain the energy within and strengthen concentration, and thus is protection against bad luck (bad luck in terms of loss of vital energy).
Just for u, here's one without the dot:
Beacon-of-hope, awww! hugs... and a million thanks.
