Obama giving money in the form of bailouts is redistribution and is a distinctly liberal/left ideology.

Aeras, sorry for the long time in replying, and to be so short doing so as well, but think about this a bit harder. Liberal redistribution puts money into social services, into ensuring workers can find jobs, into the lowest, most immediately affected sectors - the entire notion is that the source of all capital, labour, is in control - it does entail finding the nearest billionaire corporation that is collapsing and pumping some cash into it in the withering hope that the plumped up top-dogs actually have any particular talent beyond organising to make more more out the labour force to provide for shareholders and ensure high-end bonuses. Propping up the profit system when it's failing due to its own catastrophic nature is a distinctly unliberal notion, intended to prevent socialism (a very possible outcome of such a big and painful market correction as the USA still faces). To say 'Oh look, the Government gave some private parties money, that's Left-wing' is total rubbish on any sort of proper investigation - especially when they're giving the money to corporates off the back of a capitalistic, trickle down model of economics.

I agree with what you say in the above post.
