If this new moderation technique has been utilized then I have not seen any evidence of it. Just yesterday I posted in the topic titled, Ashes, on the subject of cricket and my post was just deleted rather than white washed. I had stated that a cricket is used as fish bait in the U.S. I then used a vernacular term to describe a bluegill. A bluegill in the Phantom Delta vocabular is called a pisser. In England the word pissed is synonmous for drunk. In the America when someone is pissed it means they are irritate or mad.

Your post was not white washed because there was no need. White wash is not for irrelevant posts, it is for derogatory hateful language.

Your post was removed and so was 4thdreamgiver's after that for the simple reason that both your posts were not relevant to the topic that Emerald Eyes started. You already must have got a PT sent to you regarding the deletion of your posts. Please check.

Just FYI, The Ashes are a cricket (cricket as in sport and not cricket as in insect) Tournament that is played between England and Australia biennially. Check :

At one point in the history of QL there would be a message advising me of a P.T. but I have no way of knowing about a P.T. except by email and I have not checked my yahoo email since July 3. (I have a work email for work related communications.)

My question--is there supposed to be a message notification system at QL?

My second question--has the new moderation technique (white washing) been utilized in a topic other than this topic?

For your first question use the suggestion box... because I don't have an answer to all technical problems. But I'm wondering how you were not notified, because I invited both you and 4thdreamgiver on it, and 4thedreamgiver was very prompt with her response on the PT, so I assumed you must have got it too. The choice to respond to a PT however lies with you, and so I did not give it so much thought, when you didn't.

Its best if you take the technical grievance to the Suggestion Box forum.

As for your second question - Yes its been used. But No, I am not going to tell you where. You may be able to find it, if you search around a bit. Thank you for your interest in the new technique.

I just re-opened a support ticket for this, though, because I get a new tab at the top of the forums that says "New PM!" and it's hard to miss.
It's beginning to sound like this pop-up tab is not happening for everyone.

I have already checked my messages but I must appologiZE for such a delayed response. The modem or some other gadget on hour pc at home is not working and the internet service provider is not allowing our daughter to get online on her lap top. Since my wife and I both have iternet access at work we don't really need the service at home. (I can only check my work related email at work.)

This topic has run its course, and hence is being locked with permission from TN. The technique stands and will be implemented as and when required on GD.
