I have lost a copy of a quotation I hadmany years ago. I've been unable to locate or remember it. Hope someone can help with the actual quote and source. Roughly, "Once the last of a species has paased away, a new heaven and a new earth must come to pass before such a one is seen again". Thanks for any help.

The beauty and genius of a work of art may be reconceived, though its first material expression be destroyed; a vanished harmony may yet again inspire the composer; but when the last individual of a race of living beings breathes no more, another heaven and another earth must pass before such a one can be again. ~William Beebe, The Bird, 1906

Thanks. This was done in caligraphy for me and framed in 1972. I lost it dring a move about 17 years ago, and recently began trying to find it. I really appreciate this.
