I saw a poem years ago on a friends bathroom wall and I am trying to find it.
All I can remember is

Please remember don't forget
never leave the bathroom wet
Don't leave the soap still in the water
That's a thing you never oughta.

There was a few more verses but I can't remember them. Can anybody help. Thanks

Haha. WEll there is one little rhyme I've heard a few times, but I'm not sure it's even the same thing:

If you sprinkle
When you tinkle,
Please be neat
And whipe the seat.

That's the only one I know of.

Not one for the house!

It's no use standing on the seat,
the crabs in here can jump ten feet!

Please remember don’t forget,
Never leave the bathroom wet.
Nor leave the soap still in the water
That’s a thing we never oughter

Nor leave the towels about the floor
Nor keep the bath an hour or more
When other folks are wanting one
Please don’t forget – it isn’t done.

Nicely done, Petrarch. Here's another:
quote:
"Water, soap, shampoo and more
Belong in the tub, not on the floor.
Clothes and wet towels piled knee-deep
Should be in the hamper, not in a heap.
A clean sink and mirror are not such a trial.
Please follow these rules and watch your mom smile!"

"Before you go to bed, give up all your troubles to God. He's going to be up all night anyway."

Thanks everyone! Petrarch, that's exactly the poem that was on the wall! Do you by any chance have a larger picture of the wall plaque? If you do please email it to mh25@blueyonder.co.uk

Thanks again everyone!

Probably should clear this up.
Petrarch’s picture is a postcard that is available from
http://www.whenwewereyoung.co.uk/acatalog/Home_Postcards__39.html
It is a "famous" poem associated with, and some attribute to,
Mabel Lucie Attwell

quote:
The popularity of Mabel Lucie Attwell’s artwork led to the development of an extensive merchandise program including high-quality china figures and nursery sets by Shelley Potteries, the celebrated bathroom plaque “Please remember-don’t forget...,”

In the window was a Mabel Luci Atwell kitchen poster, a partner to our bathroom picture, which my children recited to me there on the street – "Please remember, don’t forget, never leave the bathroom wet; nor leave the soap still in the water, that’s the thing we never oughter. Nor leave the towels about the floor, or take a bath an hour or more when other folks are wanting one. Please don’t forget, it isn’t done."

They are correct with the stanza, I think.. Anyways, I would like to share this funny bathroom poem.. Smile

"The love of my life, is not my dear wife,
But a toilet with flush, and extra thick pipes.
To take all my crap, without a mouth flap,
And when it acts up, I can shut off its tap."

Lol.. It's a cute poem right? Wink

It's another
bathroom story.
