Does any one know the quote that says something like Never love me .... never say forever bc forever made me cry?? Its kinda long?

i know the one you are talking about...but i can't seem to find it. i'll keep looking...but until then here is another one like it that i found:

"Friends forever", you promised. "Together till the end." We did everything together you were my best friend. When I was sad, you were by my side. When I was scared, you felt my fear. You were my best support- if I needed you, you were there. You were the greatest friend, you always knew what to say: you made everything seem better. As long as we had eachother, everything would be okay. But somewhere along the line, we slowly came apart. I was here, you were there, it tore a hole in my heart. Things are changing, our cheerful music reversed its tune. It was like having salt without pepper, a sun without its moon. Suddenly we're miles apart, two different people with nothing the same. Its as if we hadn't been friends; Although deep in our hearts we knew neither one of us was to blame. You made many new friends, and luckily so had I, but that didn't change the hurt- the loss of our friendship made me cry. As we grow older, things must change. But they don't always have to end. Even though its different you will always be my friend.

Funny. I actually found the quote right after I made that last post. I remembered what the attribution was and it helped me search for it. Here you go; it's from the movie Never Been Kissed:

Never say I love you if you don't really care; never talk about feelings if they aren't really there; never hold my hand if you're going to break my heart; Never say you are going to if you don't plan to start; Never look into my eyes if all you do is lie; never say hello if you really mean goodbye; If you really mean forever, then please say you'll try; Never say forever because forever makes me cry.

I'm sorry, but I think that is a mis-attribution to say it is from the movie "Never Been Kissed." I've looked around and I see no such attribution. Everywhere I found it, it is either unattributed or attributed as "unknown." I think this is in the class of "warm fuzzy."

Last I knew it was from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You with Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger. She read the poem in front of her class and it was aimed at Heath's character and she gets all emotional and then runs out.

Actually just to clarify, Julia Stiles reads a different poem in Ten Things I Hate About You, but it is along those lines.

yeah it wasn't from 10 things I hate about you, God knows I have seen that move so so many times. I love Julia styles.

Her poem startes every sentence with:

"I hate" the way you make me laugh
"I hate" it when you make me cry

Etc etc

Cant remember all of it...

THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE CLAIMING TO HAVE WRITTEN THIS POEM, AND THEY ARE ALL LIARS PLZ HELP ME TO RECLAIM MY MOM THAT WAS NOT ONLY PUBLISHED BUT IT WON AN AWARD AS WELL, I WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL WHEN I WROTE THIS POEM AND I POSTED IT ON THE INTERNET ON MY BLACKPLANET PAGE AND IT WAS COMPLETELY STOLEN BY MANY PPL AND ITS SAD.

Never say Forever
before i write my poem i must say that my
poem has been all over the internet and i
don't know how or where someone got it from.

Never say i love you
if you don't really care
never talk about feelings
if they aren't really there
never hold my hand
if you're going to break my heart
never say you are going to

stsnell--I'm sure everyone here would like to see the original author of that poem get the credit for it. However, needhelp's query initiating this thread, and thenostromo's post containing the full poem, both date from 2003. A web page created in 2009, and your indication that your copyright originated in 2009, aren't strong support for a claim that you wrote the poem. Could you point us to the blackplanet page where you posted it originally, or is the award you won documented online somewhere?
