Hi there ) I heard that William said something like "silence means you agree". I know the wording isn't correct, but thats the gist of it. I can't remember for my life what it really is - so, if anyone is able to help me, and knows what I'm talking about - I'll be more than happy to hear them out )

Check Bolt's play "A Man for All Seasons" in which Sir Thomas More challenges Cromwell's contention that silence gives consent. The challenge is based on a point of English law, namely, that silence does not indicate consent.
