In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy, the only means of deliverance is chanting the holy name of Lord Krishna. There is no other way. There is no other way. -- Brhan-naradiya purana 38.126

It is near impossible to summarize such a complex religion that has over 3,000 deities.

It would probably be difficult to summarize a religion in a sentance, let alone one as complex and intricate as Hinduism. I'm afraid I don't have any good quotes that can help, though I am reminded of a "summary of the world religions" poster I once saw:

Taoism: Shit happens.
Confuscianism: Confuscius say, shit happens.
Buddism: If shit happens, it isn't really shit.
Zen: What is the sound of shit happening?
Hinduism: This shit has happened before.
Islam: Shit happens if Allah wills it.
Catholicism: If shit happens, you deserve it.
Hare Krishna: Shit happens, rama ramma.
Rastafarianism: Lets smoke this shit!
Judaism: Why does shit keep happening to us!

I do not remember the exact wording but the following sums up the message clearly:

"To suffer is to understand."

I am not sure of the source nor the author.
