I had found this lovely quote, perfectly suitable for my fall wedding next year. Sadly my computer crashed and I can't for the life of me remember it verbatim or who wrote it.

It goes something like this - We are two drops in the same ocean, two leaves on the same tree... I vaguely remember the authors name being French, but I could be mistaken.

Any help at all would be appreciated!

and it appears to be a Bahai text--but I don't know much about Bahai, and could be totally misunderstanding that.

It is a lovely and inspirational quote from The Tablets of Bahá’u’lláh (by the founder of the Bahai Faith), which were only translated into English in the 1970's I believe. Another one of my favorites from the Tablets written in the same vein is: The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens.

From this day forward we will live our lives as one winged angels, for we all know that angels with one wing cannot fly, but when they embrace each other & come together as one they can soar.
