Hello all, this is my first posting..
From Lucian the Monk to Graham Norton, a growing collection of quotes from 1000 years of visitors to the ancient and beautiful city of Chester in northern England may be found at:

-part of my guide, 'Chester: a virtual stroll around the walls':

Welcome to Quoteland knowhowe!
I’m still debating whether your post belongs in this forum, or in General Knowledge.
But wherever it belongs it’s a great post, it reminded me of one of my favorite places:

Chester, Connecticut, a 17th Century Mill town named after Chester, England, it’s present population about 4000.

More info here: http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/genInfo.php?locIndex=9121&forceNB=1

This is probably not true, but whether true or false, it is kind of funny
Local Laws
In Chester, England, you can only legally shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow inside the city walls and after midnight.
Found it here: http://www.comedy-zone.net/triviazone/world/page5.htm.
