I never saw a purple cow, I never hope to see one; But, I can tell you, anyhow, I'd rather see than be one. ~Gelett Burgess, The Purple Cow~

I'll admit it, I don't think I've ever read or looked up any cow quotes, but I guess theres a first time for everything! LOL

"To my mind, the only possible pet is a cow. Cows love you . . . They will listen to your problems and never ask a thing in return. They will be your friends forever. And when you get tired of them, you can kill and eat them. Perfect." - Bill Bryson "Neither Here Nor There"
"You can hear the cattle prattle as they bottle up their snot; It isn't too attractive, but it's all that they have got; And no matter what it looks like, here's a fact you can't deny Cattle snot is just the ticket to help unstick a sticky fly."

Ode to the Cow Who Jumped Over the Moon by John Bear with some help from Natalie Twinkle, twinkle little cow. How I wonder, "Where art Thou?" Above the world you did fly, Gave new meaning to "Moon Pie." Twinkle, twinkle little cow. How I wonder, "Where art thou?" Twinkle, twinkle little cow. You got down? I wonder how. Did you fly by aero-plane, or by interstellar train? Twinkle, twinkle little cow. You got down? I wonder how. Twinkle, twinkle little cow. I gotta wonder, "What's up now?" Are you planning trips to mars, or to the Centauri stars? Twinkle, twinkle little cow. Will you make it? Yes And How! http://www.beartime.com/mooncow/mooncow.htm
Have any of you city-types here ever seen a running cow? If you haven't, you have never known true mirth. Cows lumber along with all four legs perfectly stiff, their heads doggedly pointed downward as they toil along, bumbling and bumping into one another with their bony hips and shoulders and occasionally giving one another a grouchy poke with their horns. There is nothing about a running cow that would ever suggest the term "skedaddle." A better word would be "galumphing." Cows are not exactly what you'd call "poetry in motion." http://roundtablearchives_w.tripod.com/support-79.txt
Ah, yes! I wrote the “Purple Cow” I'm sorry, now I wrote it! But I can tell you anyhow, I'll kill you if you quote it!~Gelett Burgess.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency authorized in 1994 a $675,000 research grant to discover “if cattle belch enough methane to contribute to global warming.” Burping cows may indeed be adding to the methane that absorbs infrared radiation, thus heating up the heavens. Cows (as well as camels, sheep and antelope) are known to expel methane after grazing, but until now, no one knew how much.~Peter C. Newman, Canadian author and journalist.
The friendly cow all red and white, I love with all my heart: She gives me cream with all her might; to eat with apple tart. -- Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894)

The sky was dark The moon was high All alone Just her and I Her hair so soft Her eyes so blue I knew just what She wanted to do Her skin so soft Her legs so fine I ran my fingers Down her spine I didn't know how But I tried my best To place my hand On her breasts I remember my fear My fast beating heart But slowly she spread Her legs apart And when she did it I felt no shame All at once The white stuff came At last it's finished It's all over now My first time Milking a cow!
There's nothing very beautiful and nothing very gay About the rush of faces in the town by day, But a light tan cow in a pale green mead, That is very beautiful, beautiful indeed.

Cows are amongst the gentlest of breathing creatures; none show more passionate tenderness to their young when deprived of them; and, in short, I am not ashamed to profess a deep love for these quiet creatures. ~ Thomas De Quincey
