ilgNOT...i think Alice's second suggestion works the best...that way...youre not changing your identity completely Smile(cutelilgirlNOT Frown..im not a fan of that one)

Without pain, we would not experience love.
Without silence, we could not appreciate our words.
Without weakness, our strength would be obsolete.
Without tears, our laughter would never be heard.
Although we may all face hardships in our life,
We must remember that serenity is born through strife.

It's pretty clear, and I think y'all should make up your own mind about how you want it changed (if it needs it, that is).

What's happening with the possibility of a 'grandfather' clause for old usernames up to 20 characters? I really think that's a good idea, and a reasonable solution.

I agree with greekboy, I think the members with older names should have the benefit of the doubt. Most seem to be about 17 characters, anyway. *shrugs*

Since the limit is fifteen, I was thinking of changing my username from letswriteandshare to Lets_writeshare or Lets_WriteShare... fifteen characters, the abbreviation of that (L_WS) works with the search engine as well, or you could simply keep using LWAS to address me.

So does Lets_WriteShare seem fine? Any opinions?

Somehow I think the name needs the 'and'.
How about misspelling the name and pretend you can't pronounce your 'Rs'?

I am thinking about changing my user name to Hard_Headed_Ottis but that is too many characters. It would fit my avatar image real well.

Second Choice would be Ernest_DeLeon. LOL

Kevein Clavin Coolage Chandler Ottis Earl Ray Newsome was the name of the kid who lived next door to me when I was growing up. His real name was Kevin Chandler Newsome. My brother and I adopted him as a pet or kid brother. He was 8 years younger than I. My brother gave him the additonal names. ON any given day we would call him one of the many names he was given and there was a story behind each name. I like to call him Ottis. My brother called him Coolage. Erm...

Ottis finally grew up. He spent almost a year in jail for shooting into a house trailor with a 30-06 deer rifle. The bullet hit the wife of his target. She was shot in the leg and Coolage was convicted on some varity of deadly assault.

So is the 'grandfather clause' not going to be used then?

LWAS - I like letswrite&share best. That way your name stays exactly the same. It's just that the and is abbreviated. I'm not to keen on Lets_writeshare, it doesn't actually make sense?!

Hi, thank you all, I do appreciate all opinions, however I can’t agree to most of them… well I mean I do agree to some of them but am rather reluctant to follow them, because-

Asa, I don’t know, I personally don’t like usernames with incomplete words.. thank you though!
D_w: Wewriteweshare is good, but actually I want my username to be very similar to my current one. Thanks for investing your brain-power though!
Greekboy3000: No grandfathering, as majority of mods. who responded to my PT wanted a limit of 15 for both new and registered users. See what I wrote on page 1 of this thread about letswrite&share… yes, lets_writeshare isn’t my favourite username but seems like I don’t have much choice if I want to shake hands simultaneously with logic and search engine and my current username lol (hey this sentence sounds so awkward doesn't it Laugh?).

What do I do Erm... Big Grin? Perhaps I shouldn’t think too much about it as “What’s in a name?” but I wouldn’t want to be stuck with a very bizarre username! Lol..

Hmm, since your original is 19, it's slightly hard to work around. Do you want to keep the same identity, so basically the same name?

GldDustdDreamer
GolDustdDreamer
GoldDustDreamer
AuDustedDreamer
GolDusteDreamer <----- My favourite. The name is basically the same. Wink

innocentlittlegirlNOT:
Your user name has been changed, the name displayed should now be:
inocntlilgrlNOT.

Gold Dusted Dreamer: How about:
GolDusteDreamer, each word begins with the last letter of the previous word, it's cool.

Its proper,no abbreviated words. And also reflects the same meaning.

Also, just a question, why do you need to search your own name so diligently? I don't think I ever search for anything by myself or about myself.Don't find it that important.Something to ponder. Wink

LWAS...i still think letswritenshare is the closest...and my personal favorite...and its 15, so it follows all guidelines... Smile

Gold Dusted Dreamer...i personally like greekboy's last choice/alice's choice... Smile

sentrawoods: In my opinion things would be a lot easier for a lot of people if we all used search engines even once a month! Let's probably leave it with the understanding that I'm crazy Wink, and want to use the search engine. I don't think I'm taking 'writeandshare', though I do thank you for offering the suggestion!

sunemstar: Thinking again, I do think letswritenshare is closest to my current name though it does have a 'cut' word ('n' for 'and'), but it can convey the idea and be abbreviated as LWNS. Thanks for the suggestion and I think I'll prefer letswritenshare to most of the other ideas that came to our minds (except 'letswriteandshare' ofcourse Big Grin, I like that since full 364 days!!)..

So, would a moderator please change my username to LetswriteNshare? Thanks. And please make it exactly this:
LetswriteNshare
