It is true I chris1 own quoteland, if you count never posting and just paying the bills. The truth is you all own quoteland. It is my pleasure hosting this wonderful site that David and Adam created many years ago.
I would like to take this opportunity to give Jon "thenostromo" a special thanks for his tireless effort in improving quoteland.
It's good to touch base with you, Chris and congratulations on your new baby's arrival!
and yes! you should post more....
Your hosting of the site is a much appreciated thing by very many of us in very many ways, you know. It's given me personally, some of the best things in life, so thanks for that.
Post more!

According to your count, your now at three and still running strong! Thanks for all you've done in providing us with a place to not only learn, but also to get to know others and their ways from around the world. Quoteland is one of the biggest and best sites on the internet thanks to our founders and the support that they've been given throughout the years.
Sincerely,
Ken

Instead of saying "sad" there should be a . I did feel embarassment mixed with a stong sense of pride to see Chris single me out for special thanks, but that thought was immediately followed with a feeling of gratitude for all the moderators and facilitators that provide their service and participation to the boards. I think the lion's share of any credit must go to them. And what a kind thought to say that it is "we" who own Quoteland. Thank you for that, and for your support of Quoteland.
Hi Chris, To echo EmeraldEyes, thanks for all you've done for this site. I've done a lot of growing up and learning here.
Also, if I may be so bold...if you're paying the bills, you should get to enjoy what you're paying for. Post more often! General Discussion has some fun games and you'd get to know a lot more of the members, there are some talented people writing and critiquing writings over in workshop and the other writers' forums, there's also debate if you're opinionated, and of course the words of wisdom on the quotations forums.
Well, here's hoping we see more of you. In the mean time, congrats on the new baby and thanks again for hosting QL!

If I were to choose a word to describe Chris Pisani's relationship to Quoteland, it would not be "owner" but "benefactor." Chris has not only been a wonderful supporter of Quoteland since the day he got involved six years ago, but a gita mensch for me and Adam, and a good friend.
It's really good to know some of the story behind Quotelands inception, David and Chris. That these good sites are a labour of love, is mostly lost on us that visit and play hungrily daily.
It's also good to be able to feed back some of the tales of great friendships, valuable lessons learnt, fabulous love affairs ignited and other life changing things that are Quotelands unspoken legacy.
....... so pop in often in future and keep us all in shape!

Thank you, it's not fun paying the bills, but I'm glad you do it. Where would we all be? A baby, well that doesn't leave you much time to hang out with us-Congrats! Maybe you're little one will grow up and enjoy QL. How's school going David? Best of luck.
"I'm telling you. People come and go in this Forest, and they say, 'It's only Eeyore, so it doesn't count.' They walk to and fro saying, 'Ha ha!' But do they know anything about A? They don't. It's just three sticks to them. But to the Educated - mark this, little Piglet- to the Educated, not meaning Poohs and Piglets, it's a great and glorious A." --Eeyore, The House at Pooh Corner
Thank you for your contributions, both Chris, Jon and all those who work on QL. For all the ups and downs we may have had I'd hate to be thought ungrateful.
Thank you again.
Matty.
