This new look and feel has been available to us for some time, however we have waited until now to activate it to make sure most of the kinks are ironed out.
It may take you a little while to get used to the new interface, but after you adjust you will probably find that the site is much easier to use, as many features have been added to speed up things such as posting new topics and browsing customized content (Check out the "My Space" button).
If you have any questions or concerns, this would be a reply to this topic would be a fine way to express them. The suggestion box would also be good.
Note that if your web browser does not support the features required to view the new interface, it will appear as if nothing has changed and you will be able to continue using the old interface for as long as you like.
ooooh it's all new and pretty like! Will take a while to get used to but I like it One thing...can you change it so that the names aren't blue? :S It's scaring me...it looks creepy with the orange!

Hmmm...the user names are displayed in blue because they are links and you can click on them (all other links have always been that color). I does look a little weird, but I kinda like the orange and blue. Maybe I will play around with darker blues so that its doesn't jump off the page so much.
Yes, it has been hidden away. The lightbulb and folder icons at the top and bottom of the page (the little ones that appear between the links showing where you are in the forum) are clickable. The folder one is the forum list, the lightbuld has some links to "Since your last visit" and "Today's Active Topics"
Looks and feels great. One question. When I attempt to post a reply or start a new topic,..and click my ieSpell check on my tool bar above,...the reply window vanishes.
I'm wondering how I can run a spell check on my post.

Sentrawoods: I am not familiar with ipspell, but I imagine that what is happening is that since the posts now get written in a popup window that when you click the spell button, it is actually for the window that you opened the popup from, not the popup itself. As a result, the post window gets covered up.
One thing to try: on replies, try using the yellow arrow button next to "Reply" (this is quick reply) and might work better with your spell checker. This only applies to replys.
Another thing you might try is to see if the spell check function of your spell checker has a hotkey (like ctrl+ something) that you could use to activate it whilst in the popup window.
Adam,....spell check works with the quick reply(yellow arrow),..but doesn't work with the reply or new topic window. Also my spell check doesn't have a setting for control.
Any suggestions on how we can spell check a new poem or story?

I don't have any other suggestions aside from writing your story or poem in a word processor like word or works and then cutting and pasting it into the message window (which is what I do when I care about spelling). If that isn't an option for you, you can disable the new interface when you log in with that check box under the "remember me" option.
Adam, This will do.Thanks a bunch! By the way,..I'm having a blast! This is very cool indeed!

I almost had a frikin' heart attack when I opened up QL. I think it is cool (especially the quick reply...) except I can't find the Link to Private Topics on the Quoteland.com User Group page. Where did it go???

Can you explain how the "senior member" "junior member" "member" thingy works? Is it by how long someone's been on QL?

Why, when a housefly flaps his wings, a breeze goes round the world; when a speck of dust falls to the ground, the entire planet weighs a little more; and when you stamp your foot, the earth moves slightly off its course. And it's much the same thing with knowledge, for whenever you learn something new, the whole world becomes that much richer." The Phantom Tollbooth
