I'm sure that you've all noticed the new search engine on the forums. Well, the parent site has gotten a tune-up of its own! Chris Pisani, VP of Awards International, reports on the details:
1. Quote Of The Day - Sign up and receive a random quote from quoteland every morning. Currently there are four main categories to choose from "ALL quotations" (pulls from the entire database), Motivational, Movie Quotes and Sport Quotes. We will be adding more categories soon.
2. Suggest a Quote
3. Movie Quotes - New main category. A work in progress, we will be adding sub-categories and new quotations weekly.
4. Tell A Friend - A "Tell A Friend" button has been added to every quote in the quoteland database that allows visitors the option of forwarding their favorite quote or quotes to as many as four unique e-mails addresses. This option also allows them to add a personal note along with the quotation.

The Quoteland forums, as you know, are part of a larger site: Quoteland.com. Awards International has begun work on improving and expanding the main site.
Part of that is to make the quotation-library an open project. This is a particularly exciting development, since it means that the database can grow as quickly as people cnan make it grow.
The quote of the day is a fun way to get quotations mailed to you.
To access these new features, just go to the Main site and click on the appropriate links.
Now this is something to look forward to. Once you type in your address, you can choose between motivation, movie, sports, or all three quotes to be mailed to you each morning!
For me personally, this will be a fine way to start my day. The first thing I do is check my mail while waking up and enjoying my coffee. They say that the first thing you read stays with you most of the day. A little motivation never hurt anyone! I'll be anticipating my first installment. Great idea!
Edit, you will only recieve quotes from Quoteland. Nothing else will be sent to your e-mail box.

Are the quotes that are already posted on the board included? Or should they be submited to be inclued?
I'm sure we all have tons of quotes to submit, but I don't want to submit them if they are already there since they are on the boards.
Life is real--life is earnest--/ And the grave is not the goal:/ Dust thou art, to dust returnest,/ Was not spoken of the soul. (5-8) Longfellow "A Psalm of Life"
"And if anyone says in a loud voice "Bother, it's Eeyore" I can drop out again."
Quoteland has in the past prided itself on the quality of the quotations and attibutions found in its database.
What checks will there be to ensure that the suggested quotes are correct - and what protections against every self-appointed bard suggesting and posting the quotes they made up over lunch?

Damned computer crashed right when I hit send. Quick recap:
1. EXTREMELY sorry it took so long to reply.
2. Forums + main site = separate; thus, submit quotes again for inclusion.
3. Quality control: I don't have any control over that; it appears that AI is moving in the direction of "popular interest" over academe, and the best thing that you can do if you want to ensure the continued excellence of the collection is to contact AI directly and tell them so. The customer is always right...
