Welcome to the "club", Ananya. If there is anything I can do to smooth your first week or so, send me a PT; I'm confident, however, you are a quick learner and if I'm not mistaken did some Admin'ing many, many moons ago on a forum that had something to do with groves (forgive my poor memory).

Anyhoo, thank you for donating your time to an often thankless job (esp. DF and GD, imnsho).

Good luck, Ananya! Since you're the "Quote Queenie", I thought you might like these two quotes and are appropriate as you begin your moderator journey here on Q'land. Smile

"Do not dwell in the past, do not dwell in the future, concetrate the mind on the present moment."

"Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world."

Best wishes!! Smile

Thank you AmyBeth, for calling me the Quote Queen. Smile I will wear the title with utmost pleasure. I've been wanting to post a quote in response to yours of course, but could not find the right one. Hence the delay in replying.

Two quotes that I'd like to quote here. Smile

"We win half the battle when we make up our minds to take the world as we find it, including the thorns."
-- Orisen S. Marden.

"First rule of leadership: everything is your fault."
-- "A Bug's Life"

Thank you so much for wishing me well. I only hope I do justice to the trust you place in me.

Hi Nick, long time no see!

I've always liked the word mendacity.

There's so much truth to it, dontcha think? Wink

Well Song Bird, I think there is a lot of truth in the way I use the word "mendacity" but what do I know?
Seen my associate, Andrew lately?

I have always loved song birds. They are a joy of the earth.

Does anyone really talk about the reason David left? That is the true mendacity, I think. Scream!

Nick

Yes, I've seen your associate,Doc, but the real question is "why hasn't QL seen him lately"? Eek
