Although at times I am indeed verbose,
I keep it simple for fear of being grandiose.
As is the tale with flies and honey
Bombastic vinegar woos less well than money.
The simple tale, when told in short, sweet strokes
Defeats the one that broadly struts, provokes.

Merrily, merrily, oh let it be
Now is the time of good things for me.
Give me some sunshine, that I may see
All that is beautiful, welcome and free.

Seasons come and seasons go
like the ebb of the ocean
they can't be stopped.
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall
there is reason for them all.

Next word: verbose

Though love and hate are thought so close,
And both have made man so verbose,
There still is no comparison,
When all these words are said and done.

Oh, my sewing machine
it brings me such troubles,
I sit there and groan
as my sanity bubbles.
Into the night
on and on I go
making this jacket,
forever I sew.

Help

A maestro is a teacher
In the language of Spain
In Italian it’s a Master
Of an art or a trade,
A composer, a conductor,
a teacher of music and ballet
But no matter the language
And no matter what the trade
A Maestro always excels

"Do all things with love."

Profound rhymes escape minds cursed with ignorance
As benevolence breaks light inside darkness with vigilance
Words perplexing compose complex letters in synonyms
Offending minimal subjects when quoted in verbatim
Vocal daggers move throves of craniums to stagger
Scattering literal embryos for growth after the latter
Trecking tracks never mapped to adamantly attract
Bonds I retract when peers violently react
Inhale - to embellish relished thoughts that are frail,
Excels a pinnacle I mount where the mind intellectually exhales.

Next word: pleonasm.

A plethora of pleonasm,
What exactly is the defining meaning of that?
It is not that illusive when you know the answer -
Plethora meaning over abundance or more than what is necessary,
And Pleonasm meaning a plethora of words.
I guess its like saying two twins,
Or the eyes that see.
More subtly you could say,
A dumb clone,
Or a corrupt Politician.
How about the movie title the Sound of Music?
But the best example of all is a Plethora of Pleonasm
Which should by now have a defined meaning
Or else my whole entire poetic poem has been a wasteful useless effort and ambition!

Oh, trinkets are my treasures...
the tiny ones, the pleasures.
Geegaws, jimcracks bits of joy
Ever I'm ready for the latest toy!

But if you want a rhyme for trinkets....

Welll, I've thunked and thought, and now methink-it's
unlikely to find a one that fits
so now I'm ready to call it --- Quits!

The music smells like foxes,
crisp as heated metal
searing the nostrils
or humid as August, hazy and languorous
as a looted city the day after,
when all the rape's been done
already, and the killing,
and the survivors wander around
looking for garbage
to eat, and there's only a bleak exhaustion.
Speaking of which, it's the smiling
tires me out the most.

Could I possible be impregnable?
At times, my emotions are indeed unregnable...
But still, I like to think I'm vulnerable
To one whose charms are unrepugnable.

Ok. I admit that I coined some of those. Is that cheating?

by means of a trap or Cunning big o'Trap,
may be I dig a pit very Deep,
Heffalump may come than,
and will fall into the Pit,
If rain comes pit will be full,
and --I suppose that's why Heffalumps
hardly ever get caught."

My last post in this thread was 2 months ago Frown

where from did these words come?
it almost feels like simulacrum,
it could have been a dream,
or (last night's) mystical rum!

Next word: Rum Big Grin

A ballistic drum basically sums a metaphor for my tongue,
When imbibing liquid courage or what I call my mystic rum,
I'm lost in irony when enlightenment accompanies belligerence,
Epiphanies abound fills a light-headed pate but I'm indifferent.
Cruel joke of a muse with too much loose ends untied,
I lie harmless on my side instead of propagating my tries.
Sun breaks, light takes the night right from my blinded sight,
Tied with the ride is my righteous clarity for life.

Next word: scythe

It's the night before Hogswatch. And it's too quiet.

There's snow, there're robins, there're trees covered with decorations, but there's a notable lack of the big fat man who delivers the toys...

He's gone.

Susan the governess has got to find him before morning, otherwise the sun won't rise. And unfortunately her only helpers are a raven with an eyeball fixation, the Death of Rats and an oh god of hangovers.

Worse still, someone is coming down the chimney. This time he's carrying a sack instead of a scythe, but there's something regrettably familiar...

HO. HO. HO.

It's true what they say.

"You'd better watch out..."

fixation

Lips which sneaked kisses stealthily upon the skin of my affection,
She sexily slipped smiles, which heavily cemented a heavenly fixation.
Remembering embers burning through the winter,
That steadily lingered till the seasons skipped to summer.
The humming and the whispers I lovingly yearned for,
Soared sweetly, strumming with the strings of my guitar.
Touches and presses of body upon bedspreads,
Showers, then wrestles against box springs and mattress.
Memories embedded themselves endlessly in my brain,
Holding more than my heart can ever contain.
Maintaining my sanity mainly by reminisces,
That infinitely tells my soul of what it misses.

Next word: meddle

Waking up,
To uncertain days,
There's nothing I read
that's true,
Except your smile,
Simple, sweet
uncanny how the
light rushes in on you and me,
Unaltered in an altering world
that likes to meddle with
the mind,
Savagely shattering ideas of living
and love...
A cruel author of the human life,
But you still ring true,
Taking the chance to look through
the madness,
Into who I am,
Into who loves you...
