Hey Y'all.... I am looking for suggestions for this poem that I wrote in my head while walking home from work.

I wake up.
A laugh escapes my mouth.
"Why are you laughing?" He asks.
"I am happy." I say.
The smile does not go away.

My head on your chest,
Your heart beating like a drum
Ba dum, ba dum, ba dum, ba dum.
And then our hearts beat as one.

We slept together,
Dreamt together,
Loved each other,
Hugged Each other.

And then the lightness of day
replaced the darkness of night.
The night is now the light.

As I lay next to you,
the warm
lemonade light
seeps
through the window ---
flooding the room...
lighting up your green eyes.
You are life.
You are love.
The lemonade light keeps flooding the room,
until we are swimming in it.

Swimming in the perfection that is life.

Outside, the trees are dancing.
The rhythm of life is
in their limbs.
Glorious.
Inside, we are dancing.
The rhythm of life is
in our limbs.
Glorious.

As I lay next to you,
I know that it is true.

I am living
The Good Life.

Thanks!

Reads like a Jill Scott song. I just noticed it - it is very sweet.

"Omigod!!!I am so much older than everyone here!" Erm...
