Can anyone recall Obamas rants and cocky certainty that he would virtually personally tear down Guantanamos walls and free the victims of US tyranny from their 5 star 'hell'?

So this was a crock. Most of what he actually says is a crock. Sarah Palin's deficiencies were laid open for the public by a self-righteous media.... are they actually doing some soul searching now about the enormous inadequacies they whitewashed in order to get this very inappropriate man put in the Presidents chair? Likely not. *sigh*

In latest American polls, more than 2-1, "say Guantanamo shouldn't be closed. By more than 3-1, they oppose moving some of the accused terrorists housed there to prisons in their own states.... In the survey, Americans were inclined to accept the argument by Cheney and former president George W. Bush that the detention center had made the United States safer. By 40%-18%, they said the prison had strengthened national security rather than weakened it."

If Obama-ites are happy to look back into politicaly history with self-righteous judgements about what is innately right and wrong they must surely be looking at this backtracker and thinking they made one hell of a mistake.

Obama moves closer to closing Guantanamo: manages to get rid of four of the sickos... uh, innocents by getting Clinton to by-pass the British government and just dump (and at what cost, I wonder, and with what promises) them in Bermuda. Only a few score more to go!
