Inherent need
10-1-09

As a child I was told
not to cross the road
go beyond the corner,
the gantlet was dropped!
I got lost.

Children, like cats, are curious by nature, I guess. Glad to see a few new pieces by you. ~~lb~~

I am moved to write poetry often, though there are time restrictions for some 'me' time currently.

I'm still sitting here typing a few lines now and then, but not ready to post anything yet.

I have enjoyed coming in and trying to catch up with the poetry thread.

Some beautiful sentiments are expressed in the word used by those who submit their poems.

Lovely to see.

Little boy next door to me is 5, he's as cute as they come, went over to try to stroke one of the horses out in the paddock opposite my home, and his mother told him not to do so, as the 'horse may have flees'.

Nuff said!

I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.

Mrs. M.
Happy to hear you’re time is sought after it makes life worthwhile. I’m glad you managed me a little. This poem is true, weather I remember or it was related to me later I don’t know; I’m still getting lost.

Your neighbor is right, horses do have flees, the good thing is their not house pets. Big Grin
Have a nice evenfall. Wink

Thank you Jack. We have 3 horses there at present. Sometimes, it's lovely to look at them as often there may be the arrival of a little foal, so cute when you see them try to stand for the first time.

I will continue to drop in to Poetry and Verse, as it is so refreshing for me. And, also very uplifting when I am a little down or sad.
