As if out of some celestial mist,
you appeared before me,
a sweet apple offered;
and I, with nary a doubt,
with no hesitation,
accepted it.

You, trembling and broken,
reached out your hand
and it fit into my own,
snugly and comfortably...
the missing piece
in the puzzle of my life.

that damn apple keeps popping up but at least this time it is doing some good other than be the center point of sin and the downfall of humanity...the ending were superb and was the missing ingredient that was missing from my life-your words and your poetry

Raw, gutsy, and in-your-face. are words that have been used. To me they describe exactly what Rico is all about.
Don't ever change………comments from Songbird in the poem “ Walking Through Hell”
Rico-style
Unmatched - unsurpassed......Rhon831 from the poem "My Fruit"
:breathless: ...... Concerned Brotha from the poem "Formality"
When you see the name 'Rico' - you think of Poetry Knockout from the poem "My Fruit"

LB,

Once again, you have done your thing. As for what that thing is, I am running out of superlatives.

Sorry LB that I missed this when first posted. But it’s here and it’s just as lovely now as it was then. The last stanza made me want to cry I had visions of long ago in a hospital room.

Thank you Jack...it's been here, there & everywhere...I'm sure you must have spied it & commented on it somewhere before...but I'm entering a new decade next month, so don't count on ME remembering who, what, where, & when! Roll Eyes eh, boy...

I totally thought this was beautiful, I have to say that I am in agreement with Jack re the last stanza.

Beautifully done again, this is wonderful.

LB,

It makes perfect sense, one has to be broken to become a piece that fits in the puzzle of another life.

Lovely as always.
