I would have liked the poem more if I didn't have to go to "dictionary.com" to figure out that senescent means old. The poem is too short to lose the message

Rose-scented air
Pretty girl’s hair
Checkout lines
Traffic times
Loving sins
Cheshire grins

Memory webs
Cling in chambers of
My "old" mind

Old to me made this poem perfect...

I'm gonna go ahead and say I agree with Cre8tivQT, and I like your substitution of 'aging'.

The simplicity of the poem seems to follow through well with that change. Smile
