so i have to anaylize this quote from thoreau for school and i have no idea what its about

as surely as the sunset in my latest November....

any suggestions

Do have the context of the quote? It seems a little odd to analyze it alone as it is simply a fragment.

I think the interpretation may depend upon what season it is in November where the quote was made.

Some places in the world have months with sunsets that can last many hours, even until midnight. Perhaps this has something to do with the quote.
