In the movie, Kissing a Fool, the qoute, "True love cannot be found where it does not exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does," is read. I don't know what book it came from or the author who wrote it. Does anyone know?
And then I got discouraged and assumed that there probably wasn't a known author. (I have ADHD and can't be expected to have much tenacity.)

The quote was by La Rochefoucauld. It's original translation (he was french) is "There is no disguise which can long conceal love where it does, or feign it where it does not, exist."

I tried finding an untranslated French version of the maxim, but didn't have any luck.
